The 90 pages per minute Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition, the next step up from the Pro C900, offers resolutions up to 1,200×1,200dpi on thicker substrates up to 300gsm and in duplex mode.
The device was officially launched at a gala event last night, with around 100 guests heading to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney for the first demo.

Kathy Wilson, general manager of Business Solutions and Production for Ricoh Australia, said the four key attributes of the new machine were productivity, accurate front-to-back registration, consistent colour and Ricoh’s service.
“Our customers asked for a device that produces accurate, high-resolution output at fast speeds, along with the automation that comes from our world-leading inline finishing. The Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition is the result,” said Wilson.
The Pro C901 includes “the world’s first” inline ring binder, “so you don’t need specialised staff to do this finishing process, freeing them up”, she added.
It has a “robust” monthly duty cycle of 580,000 pages.
Wilson also announced the first two Australian customers: Printing Creations, based in Sydney’s northern suburbs, and Kwik Kopy Bondi Junction.
Guests at the event were entertained by award-winning singer-songwriter Kate Ceberano, and the night was MC’d by Andrew O’Keefe from Deal or No Deal.
