Roland DG says it is pursuing appropriate actions in this regard, however feels it necessary to advise customers immediately. The company also claims that the content of these fake cartridges could be harmful to both users and Roland machines.
The fraudulent cartridge looks almost the identical to the genuine ECO-SOL MAXTM cartridge, with a few minor differences. The physical packaging also differs slightly to the genuine product. Roland DG continues that the important difference to look out for is that the genuine cartridge has the ‘Roland DG Corporation’ logo.
Roland DG recommends customers to purchase ECO-SOL MAXTM cartridges only from an authorised Roland DG dealer displaying the logo and to make sure that the cartridge has the ‘Roland DG Corporation’ logo before installing it in the printer.
