Roland DG Australia is restructuring its leadership, intending to enhance its services and drive growth in new and existing markets.

John Wall, new general manager of Roland DG

John Wall, former sales director, has been appointed as general manager of the company and will oversee the Australian and master distributor operations in Roland’s expansion in the ASEAN market. Wall says, “I am honoured to take up this challenging position for Roland DG. This is an exciting time for us as we celebrate 25 years in Australia, and we look forward to continued success in this market and within the ASEAN region also.” Marc Margetts, CEO of Roland DG Australia, will take on extra responsibility with the organisation’s Japanese corporation and offer strategic and visionary leadership of the Australian operations. Margetts says, “I wish John all the best in his new role as general manager, he has worked hard to reach this position and I have confidence he will lead the company into a new era of growth. Our overall management structure has now been reorganised to address the ever-changing needs of our industry and future market needs.” Greg Stone has been appointed as overall sales manager to fill Wall’s shoes, Conrad Birkett will relocate to Thailand in mid-October to drive sales and product marketing in the Asia Pacific, Solomon Ferreira will take on the local product management role and Duncan Gillespie steps up to a national service team leader position.
