RoyleBind brings top secret photobook technology to market

Moreover, the triple patented manufacturing process can be done at a minimal cost within the space of an average kitchen bench, according to Cliff Royle, managing director of RoyleBind.

While not disclosing the method, Royle says his new manufacturing process offers the only significant point of difference in the growing photobook industry.

He says, “Hard covers are the gateway to the photo book market and to date there has only been one option available for consumers. Hard cover manufacturing hasn’t changed in 100 years. My process is different and really provides the wow factor to consumers.”

According to Royle, the new cover manufacturing process enables him to create a book cover with the “look and feel” of a premium coffee table book and also provide images on the inside cover. It also lay flat properties and the binding system means that pages will never fall out

He adds the technology is also the fastest small footprint system around, with a low capital equipment cost, which means users can easily duplicate the system anywhere such as a small retail space and incorporate it with their on line business.

Asked where this technology could be headed Royle says, “One-hour photobook kiosks are now a viable option in conjunction with on line purchases. Consumers want choice and don’t always want to wait two weeks for their photo books; they want them now or yesterday.”

He continues, “There’s also a large percentage of consumers that are clearly not comfortable with internet purchases or who are not confident with photo book software and require some guidance. RoyleBind has been created for ease and speed in a small footprint means that premium one hour photobooks are now a reality.”

Online retailer Holding Stock has become the first to jump on the new technology, and is now selling the RoyleBind photobooks on a newly launched website.

Beverly Hart, managing director of Holding Stock says the decision to choose RoyleBind’s technology was a ‘no brainer, as there is no set up required from book size to book size and spine thickness.

Hart says, “The seamless simplicity also means I can train staff up in a matter of minutes to produce great looking books.

I have worked closely with Cliff over the last two years and as a result I have gained a firsthand knowledge of the technology which is impressive. We have now customised the very latest in easy to use photo book software technology.”
