James White, managing director of Select Equip, whose father started the company, says, “We have been in operation for 30 years; originally in the mining and quarrying industry. We have three main areas to the business: bulk materials, handling and food packaging. Through those, we have bandall, which is predominantly a bundling and labelling system. It is manufactured in Holland.
“These easily mobile installations can be placed next to folding machines, collators, staplers or cutting machines. They can easily label stacks, bundle them and band them. The biggest thing for the printing machines is that these machines is that they have an adjustable tensioning system so that don’t cut into the printed material; the band doesn’t cut into the printed material. Another advantage is that you can brand the banding.
“It’s our first time at PacPrint and we are getting enquiries from people doing printed cards and leaflets and brochures; bandall already has about 20 machines in the printing industry. This show has given us the chance to make contacts in the print and packaging industry. We are well known in the food industry and this gives us a chance to broaden that, to show our brand. We cover Australia, New Zealand and parts of South East Asia.”
