The job was an emergency school holiday discount flyer run for the cinema chain, one of Valley Edge’s largest clients.
Valley Edge director Rocky Cassaniti explained to ProPrint how the 10-staff company “nailed” the job through a team effort.
“They called us on the Wednesday and asked us if we could print 516,000 flyers and deliver to the mailing house by the following night,” he said.
“I initially thought ‘no chance’, but after consulting with my production manager we worked out that we could just do it, but it wasn’t going to be easy.”
Cassaniti said the company started the run at 6am and it was all hands on deck over 10 hours with six staff members printing trimming, collating and packing to get the job done.
“We actually finished the job early, which just shows the dedication of the team here.”
Valley Edge operates a five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster in conjunction with production digital and large-format.
