SOS puts in second Ricoh C901 as digital grows

Michael Schulz, director, SOS Print and Media told Australian Printer “We already have a Ricoh machine, and it has done a great job for us. The reason we have installed a new Ricoh machine is the increase in capacity and the high accuracy in repeatable colour jobs of the Ricoh machines. The C901 will be used for text books and publications.”

Schulz says that digital and distribution is the fastest growing part of the SOS business.

The new C901 comes with the booklet finisher option, which offers multi-position stapling of up to 100 sheets, stacking of up to 2500 sheets, saddle-stitching finishing and folding, and it also has a trimmer unit for a flush finished edge.

The new Ricoh Pro C901 can print up to 580,000 pages monthly at speeds of 90 A4 colour pages per minute.

SOS Media and Print was founded by Andy Faber-Castell, Michael Peel and Bob Gardner in 1976 and has since grown to become of the largest independently owned printing companies in New South Wales.
