The new software package is designed to enable single users and workgroups to manage a range of essential business activities such as assembling documents from multiple sources, creating intelligent forms, and more securely collaborating on projects inside and outside the firewall.

For the first time, Acrobat 7.0 Professional customers can now include virtually anyone in an electronic review of a PDF document by enabling access to commenting tools in free Adobe Reader 7.0 software. Adobe Reader users can quickly provide feedback on a PDF file that consists of several content types—from scanned paper to spreadsheets, presentations, and now, 3D computer-aided design (CAD) content.

With a shipping date set for mid-December 2004, Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional software will be available as a separate program and as part of the Adobe Creative Suite Premium. Adobe says Acrobat 7.0 Professional lets designers, publishers, ad agencies and print service providers dependably share files for commenting and proofing, fixing print output errors and optimising Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files for production requirements.

Also featured is the dispensation of loading times, with near instantaneous booting, and the inclusion of print production-specific functions, including colour separations and enhanced preflighting.
