Swiss manufacturer to launch roll-to-roll flatbed hybrid at drupa

Based on the Oryx and Impala printers, highly regarded in the industry, Nyala boasts an extra large printing table offering flatbed and roll to roll printing up to 3.2 metres wide. Nyala also introduces a 4 head option for CMYK with print speeds up to 215m2 / hour, according to the manufacturer.

Options such as white, primer, varnish, spot colours and the oversized board option also available as part of the modular Nyala system.

A comment from swissQprint continues, “No longer should you compromise when it comes to choosing between a flatbed or a roll to roll printer. Nyala prints with superior quality both 3.2 x 1.6 metre rigid boards in true flatbed mode and 3.2m wide continuous roll material by adding on the roll media option at anytime.”

The increased output from 134m2 / hour on the Impala to 215m2 / hour on the Nyala is due to a new 4 x CMYK configuration – meaning four print heads per colour, with the option of white ink printing simultaneously.

In Februarys this year, Positive Camtec was appointed the exclusive distributor for swissQprint in Australia and New Zealand.
