swissQprint has launched a new flatbed range, with the new models 23 per cent faster than their predecessors, according to the company.
“Our flatbed Generation 5 is based on the same robust platform as the successful high-end Kudu model, which has proven itself worldwide over the past two years,” said Carmen Eicher, chief sales and marketing officer at swissQprint.
According to swissQprint, more than 100 customers have trialled the new models.
“With the new range and the performance spread between the respective models, we are appealing to an even broader customer base,” Eicher said.
Kudu along with the Nyala 5 and the Impala 5 form a line-up that is 23 per cent faster than the previous generation, offering a top speed of 341 m²/h.
“We have always pursued a combination of performance with high output quality and the new printers are exemplary of that. With efficiency enhancing features also in the mix, users benefit from short throughput times and consistent high quality,” Eicher said.

The Generation 5 flatbeds are based on a reworked machine concept, electronics and software included.
According to swissQprint, an essential element is the new printer base. Its extreme robustness establishes the foundation for benchmark precision.
“With the latest print heads and a resolution of 1350 dpi, the new generation delivers outstanding print quality,” Eicher said.
The flatbed printers also offer versatility with 10 configurable colour channels. In addition to light colours and white, there are spot colours such as neon or orange as well as effect varnish and primer to extend the range of applications.
The new models are now available. Presentations are now possible both at swissQprint headquarters and at numerous swissQprint distribution partners.
The Generation 5 printers will also be on show at various upcoming trade fairs where swissQprint and its international network of partners will be exhibiting.
Phil Trumble, managing director of Pozitive sign & graphic supplies, has confirmed the newly launched swissQprint Nyala 5 flatbed will be on show for the Australian market at PacPrint25 in May.
