Narrow web press manufacturer Mark Andy represented in the ANZ market by Aldus Engineering says the installation brings the total number of Mark Andy 2200 installations in Australia to more than forty.
Scott Beadman, founder and owner of Hill’s Labels says he determined flexographic printing to be the logical choice to keep up with increasing requirements, and after evaluating a variety of press manufacturers, the Mark Andy 2200 was selected as the main press for the new facility.
He continues, “The addition of the Mark Andy 2200 has resulted in a 40 per cent reduction in make-ready, both in time and material. Our capabilities have significantly increased and when we look to add another press, it will be a Mark Andy.”
Beadman also says that since the installation, Hill’s Labels has noticed an increase in print quality and registration, adding that the increased production speed has enabled Hill’s Labels to take on more projects with shorter lead times.
