Cutting your costs
The news, arriving at the end of 2006, that oil prices were set to soar in the coming year, didn’t disturb any but the most forward-thinking of printers. However, 18 months later, some may have wished they had paid more attention. The raw materials that make up consumables are all dependent on oil; factories are more expensive to heat and light; and presses are costing on average 20-30% more to run than they did just two years ago.
