Steve Venn, currently managing director of Kodak is to end his 40 year career in print at the end of April when he says goodbye to the company.
Venn was working with KPG when Kodak bought it in 2005, and made a successful transition, first transferring to Singapore for three years as managing director and channel manager for Southeast Asia, returning to Australia in 2008 as managing director for Kodak Graphic Communications Group, and then taking over as managing director of Kodak Australasia the following year. In 2010 he was back in Singapore leading the APR Strategic Account management and channels function, then in May 2013 he again returned to Australia as managing director for Kodak Australasia, a post he has held until the present day. Venn will not be directly replaced, under a new restructure at Kodak the Australian business will become part of a European group, with local management reporting to UK head of operations Martin Mayo. Tony Harvey marketing manager at Kodak ANZ, says the move is aimed to ‘realise synergies of working with countries in similar situations’. He says, “As far as our customer interface is concerned there will be no change.”
