Visual Impact’s Peter Harper closes HMH as son starts up

Distributor HMH Australia will close its doors on 30 September, and Harper told ProPrint that his son, HMH’s general manager Simon Harper, would open a new company the following day.

Harper will remain in his role as general manager of the Visual Industries Suppliers Association.

He stressed that the closure was a personal decision, and that the Sydney company was trading well and was debt-free.

Simon Harper’s new company will sell some of the same lines as HMH, including Mutoh printers, direct colour systems printers, doming products and engraving material.

HMH is looking to clear its plant, equipment and stock, including Mutoh large format printers, Direct Jet UV printers and a Roland UV printer.
