The vendor labeled its three-day Western Australian road show as a “big success” with several Horizon products sold including a complete stitching line to Crystal Printing and a small folder, guillotine and creaser to Picton Press.
A $100,000 Cron platesetter was also sold from the road show.
Currie Group WA branch manager Adrian Dixon said the event gave local printers unique opportunities to view equipment.
“Because the big trade shows are in Melbourne and Sydney, a lot of printers from WA don’t get to go,” he said.
“The truck enables not only decision-makers, but production managers and machine operators to have the opportunity to view and test drive the machinery.”
Dixon added that sales had already been in the pipeline, but a number of unexpected sales were made.
“We did notice that a lot of printers are now buying entry-level finishing equipment for their digital departments,” he said.
“Over three days, around 30 customers came out. It was big success and one of the best road shows that we have had.”
