Printpoint had actually changed its name to Red Gum Pacific recently, but the 20-year-old award-winning company could not keep afloat. Liquidator Pilot Partners says the reasons for the company’s demise are as yet unclear.
Rival Qld printer Platypus Graphics has snapped up some of the company’s assets. In contrast to Printpoint’s year Platypus has been on a strong growth curve, installing a new B1 KBA Rapida and Bobst die cutter. Platypus operates both commercial and packaging print business.
Both Platyus and Printpoint are award winning Brisbane printers, they regularly head the Gold winners lists at the local Pica Awards.
