Sustainability can increase sales and make print businesses more profitable, printers will be told at a PIAA webinar on Wednesday.
Sustainable Green Print (SGP) specialist David Hoban will explain how getting SGP certified can improve the commercial performance of their business, and how to leverage it to attract new customers and grow sales.
Using case studies on the success achieved by several SGP-certified printers, Hoban will show how the program’s multi-tiered approach allows companies to tailor certification levels to their needs.

The PIAA says printers will hear ideas to help them to maximise the value of their certification by using various marketing strategies that can help to lift the company profile, attract new customers, strengthen existing customer relationships by increasing sales opportunities with them, and maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.
“For a printing company, certification has value in the marketplace as a means of aligning its operation with the environmental interests of customers and as a means of differentiating itself from the competition,” Hoban says.
“In the case of quality-management and environmental-management systems, implementing the protocols and practices required to obtain certification can streamline and improve operations, leading to greater efficiency and, most importantly, profitability.
“But obtaining certification and then being able to effectively communicate that certification to customers and prospects can be another story and is not always easy.
“This webinar will shed some light on what can be done and highlight some strategies other companies have successfully used.”
Printers can register for the free 30 minute webinar at the PIAA website. It starts at 1pm AEDT.
