Wide range on show at GBC open house

During the two-day event visitors were able to view a number of new and existing equipment solutions which GBC says would be valuable additions to any finishing business, digital or offset print shop.

At the event Stuart Macdonald said due to the absence of any large scale print trade shows throughout 2010, hosting an open house was an effective way for existing customers and new clients to view a broad range of GBC products in the one place.

He says, “Holding an open house like this is a great way to get people out of the office where they have some time to talk. Around 70 per cent coming through were existing customers but all the visitors were surprised to see the size of our product range.”

One of the latest products on show was the Amiga 36 automatic single sided laminator, which GBC says is a compact solution designed for processing jobs up to B3 sheet format, especially suitable for the digital print market.

Also on the showroom floor, was the Duplo 3500 booklet making system, which GBC claims can turn out different booklet styles for both short and long run finishing requirements. While its main purpose is delivering stitched and trimmed booklets, it is equally adept at straight folding or delivering collated sets in to a jogger and stacker, according to GBC.
