The 2016 Women in Print Australia (WIP) event has announced that Kwik Kopy has joined IVE and Media Group as a major sponsor for the event, which kicks off in May. WIP will celebrate its ninth year by hosting a breakfast series in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, running from May 10 to 18. Kwik Kopy managing director David Bell says the company was keen to help continue the not-for-profit event and is proud to be associated with WIP.

Bell says, “The WIP events have been a great success and we hope that in our role as sponsor we not only highlight the importance of women in our organisation but in the printing industry as a whole.” Kwik Kopy marketing manager Ryan McMahon agrees, adding that the printing industry is experiencing a shift in gender balance. He says, “Our female franchisees are one example of how more and more women are making their mark on the print industry. “Our B2B business model which includes a strong franchise support system offers the type of business owner opportunity that appeals to many women and initiatives such as Women in Print provide the perfect opportunity to expand knowledge and networks.” Heidelberg launched the initiative back in 2007, but this year it has handed over WIP’s management to Visual Connections and Printing Industries, which it says will ensure the protection of WIP for years to come. With over 2500 members, WIP aims to offer a supportive environment and networking opportunities for women in Australia’s print media industry.
