X-Rite updates colour control for Canon presses at Ipex

Developed for Canon by X-Rite, i1Process Control v3 provides imagePress users with integrated control over their colour print production. Enhancements include iterative profiling and new ISO verification, as well as new interoperability and workflow features. i1Process Control v3 is showing for the first time at Ipex on the stands of X-Rite, Canon and Océ.

X-Rite says the system uses the new i1Prism engine with iterative profiling capability and spot colour optimisation features to build accurate printer profiles. For the first time, users will also be able to share measurement data with other X-Rite applications and hardware in their workflows.

It also offers CMYK printer profiling, as well as advanced display

profiling, when used with the bundled i1Pro spectrophotometer. X-Rite says that i1Process Control users will be able to print test charts on their imagePress and streamline their workflow using X-Rite’s i1iO and i1iSis automated chart readers. New verification and validation features will allow users to verify their output against ISO 12647-7 targets, or save their measurement data to use as a custom reference target for process control proof for their customers.

The company adds that the new profile viewer in i1Process Control v3 will give users the ability to perform measurement and gamut analysis, using a new improved user-friendly software interface. The i1Process Control v3 will include the new Pantone Plus series digital library, in addition to the previously-available Pantone Goe digital library for direct spot colour verification.
