Olympic gold medalist Ric Charlesworth to speak at PacPrint

Former Australian hockey coach Ric Charlesworth will discuss leadership and managing transitions.

Business specialist Anders Sorman Nilsson will focus on global change and the implications for business.

The forums will also feature a panel discussion about the challenges facing the industry. The expert panel will be moderated by ProPrint contributor Steve Crowe and will include Bright Print director Debbie Burgess and the general manager of education and training at the Printing Industries Association of Australia, Joan Grace.

The forums are free, although places are limited. PacPrint will also feature business improvement workshops.

Chairman Ian Martin said: "More than 150 leading Australian and international suppliers will be at PacPrint13, eager to engage with informed and motivated business owners and decision makers.

"It’s the ideal opportunity to explore ways to expand your service offering, drive customer engagement, enhance efficiency and boost productivity, while identifying possible new revenue streams and new opportunities in cross media and e-business."

Meanwhile, the Printing Industries Association of Australia is running a print promotion competition for apprentices.

Winners of the 'Print is Alive' competition will receive a trip to Melbourne, a guided tour of PacPrint and a ticket to the National Print Awards.

PacPrint will run from 21-25 May at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
