PacPrint13: EskoArtwork

Esko will demonstrate the Kongsberg XP 24 finishing solution, the fastest digital cutting production machine on the market today, running at 100 metres a minute.

“A new feature is a high-speed 3kW milling unit, which has increased performance and productivity over our existing unit, and is targeted towards customers milling larger quantities of rigid materials,” says Esko’s Peter Henderson.

The company will also show its i-Cut suite of software products, which is targeted to those with a flatbed digital printer. The software enables users to manage their material utilisation and keep wastage down to an absolute minimum.

Esko’s Deskpack plug-ins for Illustrator are compatible with Creative Suite 6, and bring pre-press tools to Illustrator that have previously only been available in high-end workstations, such as viewing, trapping, barcodes and step & repeat.

“We will also demonstrate a full JDF workflow creating automated packaging workflows, with links to our Web Center approval system, which manages projects from design to print,” says Henderson.

Esko has also announced new CDI 2024 imaging kit aimed at the label market. While not actually showing at PacPrint13, says Henderson, visitors can still drop in to discuss digital flexo and HD flexo.
