The Digital Centre impressed with impressions

After installing the device (pictured) late last year, the Sydney-based company has primarily used it in the production of educational and community brochures. They reached the mark after receiving two massive orders in February and April which required a million impressions each.

“We thought it would take a year to get that amount through,” said account manager Phil Huxtable in an interview with ProPrint. “In the end we got two million impressions through in the space of five months.

“Those two jobs paid off two-thirds of the capital of the machine. So as far as its ability to get money back from your investment, as long as the right work comes in, it’s very quick.”

“We’ve nearly paid off the machine after having it for six months.”

The feat continues a good run for the company, which last month picked up the ‘Digital Printing – Inkjet’ gold award at the National Print Awards.
