The South Brisbane store was judged on its digital, offset and large-format efforts throughout the 2009-10 financial year – before it was inundated by the historic 2011 floods.

South Brisbane business development manager Natasha Anich said the win was good news after a dramatic year.

“The award was for the year prior to the flood and I think it was a recognition of the loyalty of our customers as well as our growth as a business.”

The outlet’s managing director, George Bacic, said his staff had been integral to its success.

“This is an award that belongs to all our staff, past and present, who have put in over the years to make sure our operation runs smoothly and consistently to produce the outcomes that our customers have learned to expect.”

In January, the flood waters submerged the South Brisbane site in half a metre of water, though it managed to keep working by shifting jobs to the Worldwide Springwood store.

Worldwide South Brisbane, which employs 10 staff, is fully operational again at its Cordelia Street home, running in conjunction with in-house large-format arm Colour Synergy and mailing business Mail It.
