200 printers on future-proof path

Adelaide printers at a Future Print Business Briefing

The first round of Future Print Business Briefings have seen almost 200 printers from more than 150 companies pick up tips on future-proofing their business. The two-hour briefings were held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide and Perth throughout August and September. The PIAA says more than 95 per cent are opting to go on to the second stage of the project, getting a customised snapshot of their business against national benchmarks. Peter Mansfield, project coordinator, says phase two entails business analysis and planning and one-on-one mentoring from Future Print advisors.

Subsidised training will be available in management, sales, marketing, lean manufacturing, finance and IT. Funding will provide places for 350 businesses to take part. With places filling fast, Mansfield encourages printers to take advantage of those available in the early sessions, to maximise the benefit from the two year programme. He says, “We are delighted with the response from these first briefings as it indicates that the mix of services and support available through the Business Transformation Project are hitting the mark. “Places are limited in this initial stage of the project and, if anything, the success to date will make future sessions even more popular. “With nearly half available places already subscribed, business owners who are interested have no time to lose in expressing their interest and booking for a briefing session in the next round.” For further information visit www.futureprint.org.au
