ADG adding value with Adval acquisition

The addition of Adval’s operation will give Active its fourth manufacturing site in Melbourne, plus an additional sales office in Brisbane – an untapped market for the Active business. Adval’s Sydney sales office will relocate from its current home within the Eye Corp offices at Pyrmont to Active’s office in nearby Rozelle.

Adval Australia has successfully operated for over 35 years and will leave Eye Corp after almost 10 years with the leading Out of Home media group.

Jeff Gittus, Active founder and chairman is confident that the addition of Adval will bring benefits to the customers of both businesses.

He says, “The addition of Adval to the group will almost double our print capacity, and with our new M-Press Tiger digital print line only a couple of months away, customers on both sides can expect a lift in our already high standards of turnaround, range and quality.

“The Adval brand is one of the strongest and most respected brands in our industry, and we intend to both maintain its identity and capitalise on its strength.”

Also commenting, Phil Smith CEO of Adval says joining with the Active group will both enhance Adval’s capabilities as well as provide access to a wide range of new opportunities.

He says, “Prior to joining the Active group we had decided that our next equipment purchase would be in large format digital flatbed, so the arrival of the Agfa :M-Press Tiger at Active will provide immediate benefits to our customer base and fits well with where we thought the Adval business needed to head.

“Whilst Adval has always been highly successful in its field, we had always somewhat envied the Active model of full service supply, but a range of capabilities that wide takes many years to establish. Joining the group has fast-tracked our ability to provide the same service model.”

Active has been growing steadily both organically and through acquisitions since being formed in 1985 and the addition of Adval to the group will see total staffing exceed 400 in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Hong Kong.
