ASGA announces three more signage bootcamps

Following strong interest in the Make it Happen Signage Bootcamp announced earlier in the year, ASGA and Make it Happen Signage Consultancy have announced three more, half-day bootcamp events for a range of professionals involved in the signage industry.

The three, newly announced events include:

  • Illuminated Signage Workshop – 8:30am-12.30pm, 21 May
  • On the Frontline – 1:30pm-5.30pm, 21 May
  • The First Drill – 8:30am-12.30pm, 22 May

The three events will follow the Signage Bootcamp, which was announced earlier this year, which will run at the Sydney Showground on 19 May – the day before Visual Impact and PacPrint, at the same venue – giving Australian businesses the chance to get up to date on the latest materials and techniques and gain knowledge and expert insights into running a successful signage business.

ASGA president Mick Harrold said places for the full-day event are filling fast and, with spaces strictly limited.

“We’ve been in discussions with Sam Armstrong and Michelle Henry from Make it Happen Signage Consultancy for months now and are absolutely delighted to be bringing these world-famous bootcamp events to Australia,” he said.

“With only a few places remaining in the full-day Signage Bootcamp, we went back to Sam and Michelle to see if we could schedule more events, and they have come back with three fantastic, half-day ‘mini-bootcamps’ which will answer the needs of a wide range of industry businesses.”

Henry, who will run all four workshops with Armstrong, said the three, half-day events will bring attendees the best of the information, innovations and ideas from the full-day Signage Bootcamp in more focused sessions to cater for specific business needs.

“The first of these half-day workshops will be on Illuminated Signage, and is designed for business owners, fabricators, estimators, sales and marketing staff and anyone who wants to brush up on their knowledge of this important area,” she said.

“We’ll cover a wide range of illuminated signage solutions from fabricated and illuminated panels, to flex face signage, illuminated letters, blade signs, totems and pylon signs, discuss on-trend and innovative products, and show you how you can expand your product range to meet market demand.

“That afternoon, we’ll be running On the Frontline which, as its name suggests, focuses on increasing sales, building better relationships and creating exceptional customer experiences.

“This workshop covers everything from communications skills, sale strategies, and more, it’s designed for business owners, sales professionals, estimators, project managers, designers or marketing staff…in fact, anyone in customer-facing roles.

“Finally, we’re planning a session designed specifically for those who procure or design signage, or who may be new to the industry and just feel that they would benefit from more knowledge and confidence to contribute effectively to their role.

“It’s an information-packed workshop that will cover all the basics, giving delegates the essential foundation required to succeed.”

“This is a great opportunity for Australian signage businesses to be among the first in the country to enjoy the benefits so many other businesses across the UK and US have already experienced in these Make it Happen Signage Bootcamp events,” Harrold added.

“As a past participant, I can assure you that whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned professional, you’ll definitely come away with new knowledge, skills and ideas from these fantastic sessions.”
