The Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA) has released details of its webinar program for 2024, which will include sessions on colour management and workplace advice.

On 3 October 2023, the association will offer a consultation with David Crowther, The Colour Doctor. Well-known throughout the print and graphics industry as an expert colour and print consultant and G7 instructor, Crowther will discuss some of the most common colour ailments for businesses and provide practical advice on diagnosing and curing the causes.

Crowther said, “Achieving consistent, reliable, repeatable colour across multiple devices and a wide range of media is a real challenge for sign, print and graphics businesses across the sector. The good news is that we can help businesses find exactly what is causing the problem and devise the right prescription to put their colour headaches behind them.”

The final webinar in the 2023 series will be a session with Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (ABLA) national manager and workplace advice, Fiona Corbett, ASGA’s preferred supplier for legal advice and member of the association’s Workplace Advice Line.

ABLA provides clear, practical advice and commercially appropriate services to businesses across Australia. This session will introduce industry businesses to the range of services offered and canvass some of the recent changes to workplace law and their likely impact.

Corbett said, “Whether it’s disciplinary procedures, redundancies and terminations, leave entitlements, award rates, contracts or other important issues, it’s important to get the right advice to help you make sure you’re compliant. Our aim is to make the complicated simple so you can get it right the first time, every time.

“In an ever-evolving regulatory environment, staying up to date with the latest changes and understanding what may be coming in future is vital. This session is designed to inform you about the legal issues that matter to your business and provide advice and guidance you can use to reduce risk and build your business success.”

ASGA confirms that planning is already underway for 2024, with the first session looking to step businesses through the process of entering the 2024 ASGA Sign & Graphics Awards. It will be held in September 2024, followed by a session on mental health from well-known industry identity and founder of Man Anchor, Stephen Gamble.

ASGA webinars have developed a reputation as “must view” content for sign, print and graphics businesses, dealing with a range of topics from signage materials and manufacturing to WHS advice and sales strategies.
