ASGA gets social at QLD golf day and networking event

Fun was the order of the day at the ASGA Queensland Golf Day on 16 August and ASGA member catch-up at Brisbane’s Waterloo Hotel on 15 August.

With great prizes on offer, the golf day was not without some healthy competitive spirit.

The winning team of the day was the Hexis 1 team, made up of Ian Parsonson, James Melville, Brendan Dawson and Tim McDonald.

The Franco Bortolin trophy on the Par 3, 7th hole was presented by Scott Raedler of Graphic Art Mart to Terence White.

“The turnout for this Queensland Golf Day was our biggest yet in this state, with 88 players making up 22 teams on the day,” ASGA events manager Michael Punch said.

“Everyone that came out had a fantastic time. It’s not just about the sport, it’s about building relationships and having some quality down-time with colleagues, associates and friends. Thank you to all our sponsors that helped to make this such a successful day.

“As for the member networking event, it was a great opportunity for a relaxed evening catch-up. The camaraderie aspect of ASGA’s social events is gold – it’s an opportunity to connect and recharge which is great for mental health in these challenging times.

“Our next networking evening event and golf day is being held in Victoria on September 6 and 7 and I encourage everyone to come along.”
