Australia Post says Impact Mail gives the creative freedom to think outside the traditional envelope format. It says there is virtually no restriction on the shape you send, so the only limit is your imagination.
The concept has been in the pipeline for some time now, but its imminent launch will provide a boost to what is already a rapidly growing business in die-cut products.
Australia Post says companies are now able to experiment with non-rectangular shapes such as circles, triangles and octagons. With Impact Mail anything goes. It says Impact mail allows for instant branding, with companies able to use their brand or logo as the shape of its mail piece for instant brand recognition. Impact Mail will also provide the attention getting power of a dimensional piece without hiding it in an envelope.
Details on Impact Mail can be reached via www.auspost.com.au/impactmail whilst industry association Printing Industries has a section on its website listing specifications, applications, service providers and other details.
