Australians quick to switch to “no-brainer” imposition software

The company said that beta tests received an enthusiastic reception with users praising the stability and the innovation of the product. Testers in the US and Netherlands noted that the new features improved imposition workflow and turnaround times.

Lithotechnics told ProPrint that 24 users in Australia had already updated to Metrix 2011.0, launched last month, through service agreements with the company.

President Rohan Holt (pictured), who has recently relocated from Australia to Seattle, said: “We are always looking for ways to make Metrix better – faster, smarter, and more automated.”

“Metrix 2011.0 has some great new features that will put even more planning and imposition tasks into the “no brainer” category, eliminate more chances for error, and enhance the ease of use for which Metrix has become known.”

Lithotechnics listed a number of improvements for the imposition software including automatic collation marks, MIS selection, zip file export as well as Fujifilm XMF 3.1 and Agfa Apogee output options.

Lithotechnics is a private company founded in Australia in 2003 by Rohan Colt, it now has offices in the US, Belgium and Australia.
