Avery Dennison launches wrap challenge

Entries for the Avery Dennison fifth annual Wrap Like a King challenge are open, where wrap installers submit commercial, full print or colour change wrap projects to be judged.

Last year Exotic Graphix took home the Australian and New Zealand prize with its Toxic Rat submission.

The project must feature Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film, the Conform Chrome series, the ColorFlow Series, MPI 1105 Supercast Digital film or a combination of car wrap films to be evaluated against their regional peers by a panel of judges.

Jordan Leach, business manager, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions, ANZ says, “It was an exciting year for us in Australia and New Zealand as a first timer to the challenge last year. We were impressed by the creative works submitted by contestants here. With the expansion to China, Japan and South Korea, contestants this year will face tougher competition but they can definitely look forward to greater worldwide recognition and higher rewards.”

A panel of industry experts will name 12 regional winners, four continent winners and a King of the Wrap World. Each continent winner receives a three night stay for Sema in Las Vegas, $500 in vouchers, marketing tools for each winner’s shop. The King of the Wrap World title, and a prize pack worth almost $5,000, will be awarded to the ultimate winner at the 2017 Sema Show.

Regional and continent winners will be announced in October. The overall winner will be chosen by the panel of judges as the best in show and crowned the King of the Wrap World at the 2017 Sema Show, October 31 – November 3 in Las Vegas.

Entries for the competition close on September 16.
