Avery releases new digital label stocks

Avery Products has unveiled its new range of label stocks named AveryPro, soon after the company revealed it would launch a new print label business WePrint.

The new collection of label sheet stock is slated to suit print businesses which use digital printers for short-run and special project print jobs, Avery Products says they will meet the growing demand for premium grade labels printed just in time to meet an ever growing need for fast turnaround.

The company says that commercial printers can diversify their product range to existing clients by ‘entering the varied and lucrative label market, and also broaden their market reach to new clients’ It says that by using AveryPro premium label stocks, they will enhance their reputation as quality printers, increase their value added product portfolio and offer greater value to their clients.

Avery says the stock is compatible with a wide scope of presses including HP Indigo and other liquid toner presses, alongside dry toner devices from Canon, Konica Minolta, Fuji Xerox and Ricoh. The stocks are available in an SRA3 cut-sheet format.

“All labels in the AveryPro range feature a specially developed digital print coating so every print job gives perfect print reproduction to satisfy the demands of even the most fastidious clients,” says Avery.

The company says the AveryPro label range includes ultra-durable films coupled with a specially formulated high-tech adhesive, ensuring prolonged adhesion, even to difficult surfaces, and says their hard wearing, durable finishes make AveryPro labels suitable for outdoor use, window signage, and for occasions when a permanent solution is required.

Mark Cooper, managing director for Avery Europe and Asia Pacific says, “We are excited to bring to the Australian and New Zealand markets a high quality label product range designed to complement the growing area of digital short run printing.”

“We are confident that the diversity of materials will enable print companies to expand their offerings to customers.”

Avery Products says that to guarantee trouble free production runs and protection for digital printers, AveryPro labels feature an adhesive-free safety edge on each sheet so that adhesive deposits do not contaminate internal press surfaces – a major cause of label lift and machine jams.  This safety edge ensures trouble-free production on every job.

All labels in the AveryPro range feature a specially developed digital print coating, which claims Avery products means every print job gives perfect print reproduction to satisfy the demands of even the most fastidious clients.

AveryPro paper label stocks offer solutions for bottle labels, high-quality product labelling, as well as shipping and identification labels.

The company says that AveryPro PET film labels exhibit excellent flatness by using a dimensionally stable film carrier and, like the paper labels, are also ideal for bottle and other product labels, shipping and identification labels, many outdoor applications and signage.

AveryPro X-treme film labels are durable adhesive films featuring high chemical and scuff resistance, and use a specially formulated high-tech adhesive for particularly heavy duty application requirements. These films are particularly suited to difficult surface applications, including outdoors and permanent marking situations.

AveryPro label products are distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Victorian label printer Label Line.

Avery recently revealed to the industry it was set to launch a new print service named WePrint which will allow small to micro businesses to create and order printed labels direct from its website, however Avery stressed it was not a competitive service to commercial label printing.
