Baldwin introduced the S-18 Webcatcher, for torn webs, which it says is the fastest and most economically effective system available, and can be used on webs with running speeds of up to 18 metres a minute. It automatically detects web breaks and instantly activates the web catching device. It can also be used in a two-web application (stacked or straight).

The company launched the M180-M190 in the protect web severer range, which are suitable for paper weights up to 250gsm and have increased reaction time by a third over older models.
