Ball & Doggett unveils Shark Skin Outdoor Display Board

Ball & Doggett has launched Shark Skin Outdoor Display Board, a solution manufactured from natural wood and fibre construction making it a fully recyclable substrate which can be placed in any paper/cardboard recycling bin making it easier for users to dispose of it responsibly.

The product is available in 1.2mm and 2mm thickness and can be digitally printed on both sides on a UV inkjet flatbed printer.

The company said it is great for short-term outdoor use as the product can maintain its structural and dimensional integrity outdoors with durability and water resistance up to 12 weeks.

Its applications include point of sale, bollards, sandwich boards, posters, signage, displays and advertising.

Ball & Doggett sign, display and digital general manager Rob Brussolo said the business understands that the future and survival of our planet is to focus on sustainable alternatives, and that how and where printed pieces are disposed of at the end of a campaign is more relevant now than ever before.

“Sustainability in print is becoming more important as individuals and businesses work to reduce their environmental footprint. Advances in technology has allowed the sign and display industry to produce sustainable printed material whilst maintaining high levels of print quality. For this reason, we are excited to launch Shark Skin Outdoor Display Board,” Brussolo said.

“In encouraging a circular economy, it is an important driver for our business to offer products that can be recycled, offer reuse waste material back into the supply chain, and reduce landfill.

“Shark Skin Outdoor Display Board celebrates its eco-leadership as it is fibre-based whilst maintaining its ability to perform exceptionally well in challenging environments. Equally important, Shark Skin is Made in Australia. This supports local manufacturing which in turn supports local jobs.”
