The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has charged Ammann with three counts of insider dealing, as well as being the fisrt person to be charged for encouraging insider dealing. Meanwhile Christina Weckwerth has been charged with two counts of insider dealing, and Jessica Mang, has been charged with one count.
Ammann, 38, who worked for Japanese bank Mizuho, is said to have had access to insider information relating to the multi-million dollar deal between Oce and Canon, which was finalised in March last year after Canon’s secured a 71 per cent stake in the Dutch manufacturer.
The trio fronted City of Westminster Magistrates Court last month where The Telegraph reported on top of the insiders trading charges, they were also accused of money laundering which involved the sale of Océ shares and complex financial transactions.
None of the three entered a plea and all were bailed until November.
The Telegraph also reported that Ammann has had his passport confiscated and is subject to bail conditions including reporting to his local police station once a week.
