Blue Star orders two HP inkjet giants

For the last two years Blue Star has been driving forward with its Agile strategy, which is an IT driven transformation of its business model and workflows for its main sheetfed businesses.

The company outlines it will continue to invest in the most appropriate technology to bring enhanced value to customers. Blue Star believes the new HP technology, in association with its proprietary Agile software, will reconfigure the commercial printing industry.

Chris Mitchell, group managing director at Blue Star Group told Australia Printer the strategic agreement Blue Star signed with HP for the new digital technology will give the Group a head start in the Australian market.

He says, “We believe this combination of Agile software, high speed inkjet technology and the resultant more effective use of our existing production assets will provide customers with a new age service offering, improved flexibility, transparency, responsiveness, speed and value and further differentiate Blue Star from its competitors.

“We are very excited about these investments and what they will mean to the service we can provide to our commercial print customers.”

The first HP installation in Silverwater will be complete in July, with a subsequent installation the following quarter, and additional installations expected over the coming years to meet the market demand.
