The announcement follows Manroland’s decision not to display kit at the show, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on 18-25 May.
The finishing kit manufacturer has announced it will showcase three “distinct experiences” for visitors, both on- and off-site. On its stand, the company will display a “virtual post-press experience”, showcasing the entire spectrum of its equipment.
The company has yet to reveal exactly what this “virtual experience” will entail, but a spokesman said commercial printers would be able to see the entire finishing process on the stand.
Off-site, visitors can go to Bobst’s training centre in the nearby town of Redditch which is said to be within half an hour of the the NEC.
At the training centre, a Bobst Commercial 106 die-cutter and a Visionfold 110 capacity folder-gluer will be handling a four-colour, two-up capacity folder.
Bobst is represented locally by Ferrostaal Australia.
