
From September 1 Boomerang Paper will become BJ Ball Roll Solutions as the 44-year-old business continues its integration into major paper BJ Ball. The newly branded division will continue to supply its specialist products including Thermal, Carbonless, Self Adhesive and Roll Label. Roll Label is a significant market sector in which BJ Ball continues to expand. The company says its recent acquisition of PMC Australia has positioned us for strong growth in this sector.
BJ Ball Roll Solutions will be led by Peter Jolly as general manager and Jason Brown as national business manager – synthetic & self adhesive, the duo leading a team of experts across Australia. In addition to its existing range BJ Ball Roll Solutions will continue to release products into the industrial continuous inkjet market as exclusive distributors for leading European and Asia manufacturers. Tony Betrand, marketing manager at BJ Ball says, “With more than 500 years combined experience in paper making, these leading manufacturers of inkjet paper, together with the strong technical capability of BJ Ball Roll Solutions in a rapidly expanding market sector, is sure to provide enormous value to our customers.” Boomerang Paper has a long history dating back to 1969. Ian Aiken was the original owner, well known for his flamboyant style. Moving from South Africa, Aiken started the business in a South Yarra flat and made deliveries in a Kombi van.
