Borsitzky retires as DMM buys IMS

Victoria-based Direct Mail & Marketing (DMM) has acquired direct mail company Integrated Mailing Services (IMS), in a move which will see director Buzz Borsitzky retire from the industry.

DMM general manager Scott Allen says the acquisition is a strategic shift into new service offerings for the direct mail industry.

“We have been looking for an organisation that is the right fit for our business and can provide new service offerings and key vertical industry experience,” says Allen.

“IMS has built a loyal customer base over the years through its people and innovative on demand digital solutions. Through this acquisition we want to continue to drive new solutions and outstanding customer experience for all our customers.”

IMS managing director Buzz Borsitzky will not carry on with the business after the acquisition and is set to retire after a long career in the trade.

“The timing was right for the acquisition and it suited me beautifully, with the two resources combined it will be a powerful mail house and marketing service provider” says Borsitzky.

“IMS is effectively wrapping up and the name will disappear completely after the acquisition is finalised.”

DMM will be taking on several key IT personnel, customer service team members and IMS general manager Michelle Lane.

The IMS site in Tullamarine will continue to operate over the next few months, with manufacturing set to be relocated in DMM’s new purpose built production hub in Dandenong, Victoria which is slated for completion in early August.

The company’s kit including an iGen150, a Nuvera 157, plastic card manufacturing and some finishing equipment will also be transferred to DMM.

IMS had been in operation for some 25 years with an on demand and club marketing focus.
