Brisbane print operations merge

Valley has taken
Ralling's offset staff and some equipment, and has also just installed an Oce C650
digital colour printer to accommodate the extra digital print the move has
generated.

Valley Edge Design
Centre was established
in 1989 by commercial graphic designer Rocky Cassaniti, since then it has grown
to be at the forefront of the Brisbane printing market, with Cassaniti putting
the company's growth down to his policy of employing a team of professionals
who value ethics and personal service. Led by managing director Mark Gri, the
company's focus is on turnkey solutions for professional companies, with
attention to detail and consistency of quality.

Rocky Cassaniti says, "This merger as a tremendous benefit for all
involved. Both companies have identified their core strengths and are working
together for a seamless transition for an exciting future, with many offerings
on both sides of the river.

"It's a tremendous honour to be chosen to facilitate the offset
and digital sheetfed printing production for Rallings. I have worked hard to
develop a successful business based on expert knowledge, professional fast
graphic design and the best quality printing. That's the printing without
hickeys, with consistency of colour and vibrancy. At Valley Edge Design Centre,
we are all passionate about the work do, because it's what we do best, and that
is very rewarding on the inside."

Taking
in Ralling's offset printing comes six years after Valley moved into printing
with the purchase of Doggett Street Press. Then three years ago it brought
signage and large format printing in-house with the purchase of S&K
Signwriting.

In-house
services at Valley now include air-conditioned offset printing, with a quartet
of Heidelberg
presses including a five-colour, and CTP. The company also operates digital
variable data printing, enables fast turnaround of short run books, pricelists
and personalised documents, stapled or ring bound in a matter of days.

In
addition the signwriting team is on hand to produce display banners and all
outdoor signage, with production on a large format EcoSol Roland DG digital
printer. Signage installation is also a large part of the Valley Edge service.

The
company employs a team of qualified graphic designers that Cassaniti says
create vibrant design and artwork to complement any company image. He says,
"Designers are a pivotal part of the business, enabling the company to offer
the full one stop service. One company, one invoice!"

Cassaniti's business partner and the company's managing director
Mark Gri is excited about the synergies on offer to the new clients. He says,
"Our client base is large, but our one commitment is to maintain that personal
service that Rocky started in the 1980s."
