Cadillac Printing to go private

Sidwell, who already owns half of Cadillac Printing, has made a $3m offer to Wellcom to purchase the remaining half of the Cadillac business.

The move would see Cadillac effectively become a private company, as the publicly-listed Wellcom divests its interests in the printer.

Wellcom chief financial officer Julian Graham told ProPrint that Cadillac would not be affected by the shift.

“Cadillac will continue to operate in the manner it has always operated, and there will be an ongoing relationship between the two businesses,” he said.

While the Wellcom board has already approved the sale, it must also be approved by shareholders at the company’s AGM on 21 October.

Cadillac, which has a sales presence in every state and territory, was formerly owned by printing giant PMP.
