The new models, to be available for installation from March 2010, have been developed on Canon’s brand new imageRunner Advance technology platform and promise a new class of imaging technology allowing printers access to greater productivity, quality and reliability, according to Canon.
The company also outlines the series has been designed to address the needs of professional print providers with lower volume production requirements than those of imagePress customers. These might include print-for-pay customers, in-plants, small or new-to-digital commercial printers, as well as established digital print service providers looking to increase back-up or flexibility, according to Canon.
Craig Manson, senior general manager – marketing at Canon Australia says, “What is most important about this news series is the huge leap in efficiency it will give printer businesses. Yes, it offers outstanding quality, speeds and finishing options, but this is a series that will mean significant commercial opportunities for printers because of the new level of efficiency it brings, through greater uptime and flexible finishing.”
According to Canon, the imageRunner Advance C9075 PRO and C9065 PRO offer high productivity and image quality (maximum image resolution 1200 x 1200 dpi), with running speeds for full colour output of 70 or 60 pages per minute respectively. The new printers can handle coated and uncoated stocks up to 300gsm, with sheet sizes larger than SRA3.
Manson continues, “This does represent an outstanding investment opportunity. It gives more of everything in a smaller space, but most importantly it helps printers do business. It is the next generation of print efficiency.”
