This award rewards exceptional young employees who show promise as executives in the print, packaging and graphic communications sector. The winner must contribute beyond their functional, technical or specialist area, and demonstrate an outstanding commitment to their own development.

Aston, previously a digital press operator, was the founding employee at Onpack when it was established as a greenfield site in 2017.

Onpack managing director Michael Nankervis nominated Aston and pointed to him being instrumental in the company’s growth and success.

“In his operational role at Onpack, Scott has not only embraced all the innovations and new technologies over the years, but has been fundamental to establishing all operational processes, leading the business operationally to what it is today,” Nankervis said, adding Onpack now has 15 full-time staff and offers digital and flexible label printing and converting.

“Scott not only has excellent machine skills but has been able to transfer those high standards to the operational team, overseeing all staff training and constantly inspiring and assisting his team to achieve their best.”

The company was founded in 1983 and is the result of South Australia’s real estate marketing powerhouses joining forces to provide quality products and services to clients. Fotobase Group is now Adelaide’s largest digital print, signage, design and photography and videography provider.

Print & Visual Communication Association Honour Roll inductee
