According to David Cartlidge, Color Technology Solutions New Product Development Manager, the transition took place due to some circumstances out of the company’s control.

“We have moved to new premises in Clayton over the Christmas period, and we are currently in the throws of setting up new demonstration facilities,” says Cartlidge.

“We will be part of Color Print Solutions worldwide, and continue developing software solutions for the colour office and wide format inkjet market.”

According to Cartlidge, the existing Cyclone customer base will continue to be supported by the new entity, and the call centre will continue to be available. For the company, the most notable changes are expected to take place in its relationships with printer vendors.

“Where we had exclusive arrangements before, they will no longer exist and the company will now be free to negotiate with global equipment manufacturers,” says Cartlidge.

“For us, it’s now a matter of looking for new alliances with copier and wide format inkjet manufacturers.”
