Australian supplier of labelling, shrink sleeving, coding and marking machines and self-adhesive labels company, Result Group, has partnered with photonic printing solutions company, DataLase, to bring the latter’s coding solutions to the region.
The company said DataLase’s coding solutions are a highly efficient and advanced method of applying variable information onto a variety of types of packaging, including GS1, 2D and 1D barcodes, batch or date codes, check-weigh and sequential batch numbers.
It combines laser technology with colour change pigments to create high resolution, high contrast print, aiming to deliver an inkless printing revolution to drive efficiency.
Being a viable alternative to print and apply labels, high-resolution inkjet and waxjet solutions, Result Group said not only does the solution eliminate unnecessary waste and single-use plastics from the supply chain, it also delivers high contrast, high quality, durable codes that do not smudge or rub off.
It added that traceability is improved through increased accuracy, while efficiency and productivity both benefit through a significant reduction in product recall and rework required.
DataLase enables a tamperproof code to be placed on the product or even between packaging lasers, making export traceability codes reliably permanent.
“In recent years, Result has turned its focus to sustainable packaging design and we are excited to partner with a like-minded organisation who has a keen understanding of the needs and challenges facing the packaging industry today,” Result Group general manager Michael Dossor said.
“Combining our laser systems with unique colour change pigments to create high resolution, high contrast print, DataLase coding solutions deliver an inkless printing revolution that aligns with circular economy initiatives and brings a host of environmental advantages. It also helps us to work towards our 2025 sustainability targets.
“The Result team looks forward to working with our customers to provide them with the best solution for their requirements, in conjunction with the unparalleled service and lifetime applications support that have led to Result Group being the recognised market leader in the packaging space.”
“Result Group is ideally placed to support the growth of DataLase applications in Australia,” added DataLase chief marketing and strategy officer Paul Dustain. “We are delighted to have them on board as a distributor and are looking forward to our collective future successes.”
