Diamant 30 for efficient short runs

The Diamant 30, a 30-cycle/min book line, is based on the proven 60-cycle Diamant.

According to Müller Martini, even for new entrants to the hardcover field, a short-run book line provides good perspectives and new market opportunities.

The Diamant 30 is characterised by high flexibility and efficiency, and consistent automation ensures that it can be changed over extremely quickly.

Size inputs for the subsequent job take place during running production. Accordingly, the data for repeat jobs are called up in advance, on the user friendly, touch sensitive, flat screen monitor.

Thanks to the Amrys automatic adjustment system, changeover is carried out for many productions without any manual intervention. Fine tuning can be carried out at any time during running production via the practical HMI’s. This utilises the machine to an optimal degree, so that efficient book production at highest quality standards is guaranteed.

The Diamant 30 is the ideal solution for entry into hardcover production, as a replacement investment or to complement existing production systems. In order to remain flexible in the face of changing market and production conditions, the Diamant 30 can be upgraded to a Diamant 60 at any time. Thanks to its doubled machine speed, this can provide a considerably higher net production output if required in the future.

Each individual processing station on the Diamant performs with the highest precision. The proven two time pressing and continuous joint forming and pressing processes are the most important guarantees of perfect book shaping.

The joint forming and pressing processes in particular are identical to those of the Diamant 60. Books produced on the Diamant 30 are therefore of exceptional quality. Whether they are works with gold trim, full-flap books, books with plastic covers or standard hardcover books – the quality is always just right.

The Diamant 30 will be presented to the public for the first time during an in-house event at VBF Buchtechnologie in Bad Mergentheim, from March 9 through 11, 2006. Interested parties are requested to please contact the Müller Martini sales
agencies in their countries for participation.

In addition, the new hardcover book line can also be seen from April 4 to 11, 2006 at Ipex in Birmingham, Great Britain.
