The limited-edition publication showcases the latest developments in digital printing through one-off selected works from Sydney’s top graphic designers.
Guests included representatives from BJ Ball, Spicers Paper, Blue Star, Kodak, Océ and Roland DG as wells as a number of Digitalpress’ corporate and agency clients, including AMP and Commonwealth Bank.
Digitalpress owner Theo Pettaras said: “Our aim was to produce a book 100% digitally by using every possible print process we could throw at it.”
The job was produced on Digitalpress’ Océ and Roland wide-format printers, as well as its Kodak Nexpress 3300.
“We believe print should be tactile and engaging and we believe the book clearly demonstrates the capabilities of what you can do with innovative and imaginative printing processes,” added Pettaras.
The book includes crystal point toner, multidimensional UV printing, metallic and dry inks and digital foiling.
“We utilised the capabilities of the new Kodak Nexpress Photo 3300,” said Pettaras.
“Taking advantage of all the new features including matt fuser technology, printing with CMYK with light black, red, blue and green.”
