Rotary label printing – the printing of flexible packaging and shrink sleeve film – is no longer solely the domain of (UV) flexo printing and gravure printing. Drent says with its innovative VSOP offset rotary press, it has put an end to their domination of this market. The hybrid-offset printing process offers major advantages with the lowest start-up costs, best adaptability for all sorts of substrates and perfect printing quality.
Since the introduction of this patented technology at Ipex 2002 the VSOP family has grown tremendously. Web widths now offered are 520mm, 850mm, 1120mm and even 1250mm. With these last two sizes you can hardly speak of narrow-web offset.
The hybrid printing solutions where offset is the basis, but other printing technologies like flexography, gravure, screen printing, hotfoil stamping and much more can be included in one printing press.
During Labelexpo 2005, Drent Goebel will concentrate on:
self-adhesive labels
shrink sleeve material for bottles, jars and free formed packaging
wrap-around labels on paper and film
flexible packaging
in-mould lables
