According to Tom Ralph, Edward Keller national sales manager for packaging, printing and converting, the strong performer for the company in recent months has been its Omet products, particularly the wide format tissue converting machinery which is used for the high volume production of napkins for the retail and fast food markets.

Ralph says that the company has now sold three of these machines in the past two years. The company has also announced the installation last month of one of its flexo presses into Melbourne at an undisclosed location.

“The last three months have been extremely good for us. We have had great sales particularly with Omet,” says Ralph.

“Our service people are working 12 hours a day non-stop with relocations and installations also. All indications are that we will are going to have a really good year next year also.”

Edward Kellar has added Elite Cameron, now trading under TS Converting Equipment, to its portfolio. This arrangement will see the company’s family of converting, coating and laminating, and mill products become available through Edward Keller.

Elite Cameron is most well known for its slitter rewinders for paper converters, plastic converters, and mills. The company will be sending out its international sales director Tim Self to visit Edward Keller early next year as part of this new arrangement.

Another considerable signing for the company is Double E and its range of chucks for web printing presses, reel fed presses and paper converting. Double E will also be sending out one of its top brass to visit Edward Keller in early 2004, with international sales director Nick Johnson due to make the trek down under.

“Double E partner basically with all the press manufacturers out there, so this is a great one for us,” says Ralph.
